Organic Log Cabin #3 by Jenny Emery
Organic Log Cabin #4 by Jenny Emery
Jenny had a quilt at the two AQS shows this year. She's a very talented hand quilter. Love those spirals!
made by Jean Whittig
Made by Carla Schardt.
What a hoot...
Machine pieced by Glennda Shriver and machine quilted by Judy Hendrickson. Pattern by Susan H. Garman. There are 11,520 pieces in the body of the quilt! The 9-patches are 1 1/2 inches.
I'm still machine quilting by 30's hexagon quilt. I finished one more flower for my new hexagon project-
I also lined the drawers to my refinished card catalog with wool I picked up at the quilt show-
The wool is just what the drawers needed.
The quilt with the sayings is very fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the OMIGOSH quilt. And your card catalog is such a great find. Good idea to line the drawers with wool. : )
I love those hand quilted spirals, too! Just beautiful! And I've had that quilt with a gazillion pieces on my 'need to make' list for a while now! Crazy, huh? lol Love your spools holder!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting quilts - not something I could conjure up, but love them none the less!! Glad you had a good swim. It always feels good to get back in the swing of things!! Great place for your thread!! The wool is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Great post! The OMIGOSH quilt is one I am cutting and saving strips for....someday. The other quilts are all lots of fun and I like the use of the card file for your thread.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts...thanks for sharing. Your card file looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteGreat modern designs in very vibrant colours. You have a good storage solution for your threads.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing more quilts. Love the quilted spirals and the organic log cabin.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice place for your thread - all resting on wool.
More hexagons - congratualtions on those - they are beautiful.
Really enjoyed the quilt show - the handquilted spirals are wonderful! Love, love your card catalog and what a great use for it!
ReplyDeletethe small drawers holding your spools is so~o~o very charming~!!~
ReplyDeletei agree with you about the spiral quiling on the first couple of quilts, it's beautiful and such a nice contrast against the hard lines of the piecing. LOVE the colors in organic log cabin #4 and both quilts make me think a lot harder about using more solids in my own quilts.
it's good to see your hexagon piecing. mine has been laid aside for a bit. i have a few odds and ends that i want to clear up and then i'll be back to it.
always good to visit and see what you are up to Maureen. the quilt show pieces were fun to look at too.
